Niccolò Biondi

Niccolò Biondi is an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in the Multimedia and Human Understanding Group (MHUG) at the University of Trento.
His research focuses on building smarter and more adaptable artificial intelligence systems, with an emphasis on advanced machine learning and computer vision. He has a strong interest in multimodal learning and biomedical applications. At the core of his work is representation learning, particularly the design of backward-compatible and stationary representations that enable large-scale AI models to be updated efficiently and seamlessly, without requiring complete retraining.
His research has been published in top-tier venues, including NeurIPS, CVPR (Highlight), and IEEE TPAMI.
